We had some outstanding beer batter bread from the Czech Stop ('Check Stop') restaurant in West Texas. Anyone have a similar recipe?

The beer batter also makes good dinner rolls. Divide the batter among 18 greased muffin tins and bake at 350, 15 - 20 minutes.

RE: Beer Batter Bread
Here's a recipe I have. I don't know if this is what you are looking for though. I've made this several times, it's super easy to make and tastes wonderful!!!

Simple Beer Bread

Ingredients:
12 oz beer (not light or corona)

3 C. self rising flour

1/3 C. sugar

3 Tbsp. butter, melted.

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9x5 loaf pan with cooking spray.

2. Combine flour and sugar; stir in beer (you might have to use your hands to get it mixed thoroughly). Dough will be sticky.

3. Pour into prepared loaf pan; brush top with melted butter.

4. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until top is golden brown. Cool slightly; remove from pan and finish cooling.
