Corn or flour tortillas can be stored indefinitely. I used to think they had to be refrigerated, but after a while, they dried out and got crumbly. I have stored mine in a cabinet drawer in the original ziplock style bag they were purchased in for as long as a year, and they are as fresh and delicious as the day I brought them home from the store.

Mold? I'm thinking total mold breakdown. Had to be a green powder. Come on Harlean, you really expect us to believe this???

I keep mine in the refrigerator in a rubbermaid round container. They don't dry out. You can also keep them inside the bag they came in and then shove them into the round container. I worked at Taco John's and this is what we did with our softshells.
Soft and yummy!
