Scoring a wall means cutting though wall paper for removal. Go to a home center or a paint store. They have tools to do this operation and sprays to apply after scoring to help remove wall paper. Some wall papers are self stripping so if that is what you are doing check to see if your wall paper is self stripping by simply peeling it off.

Assuming you mean wallboard, just cut the paper with a utility knife.
What are you trying to do? Patch a hole? Install wallboard?
