Use an egg slicer to slice fresh mushrooms. It's quick and makes nice even slices that are the perfect thickness for most recipes. Mushroom slices that have a uniform thickness will cook evenly.

Using an egg slicer is a great idea. Thanks.
I like to peel my mushrooms first so they are nice and white.
Thanks for all the good ideas. Dottie

That is a great idea! I have used for strawberries but never thought of using it for mushrooms. Thanks for sharing!

We have a strawberry patch and we use our egg slicer for strawberries, kiwi and thinly sliced cheese can be cut with them if you are careflul and it makes making little cheese cubes for salads look nice.
