New Use For Contact Lens Cases |
|
|
It seems like I have more contact lens cases than I need and too many nearly empty tubes of lipstick. Rather than toss everything, I cleaned the contact lens cases well, then filled them with the leftover lipstick (using a toothpick to get the rest of the lipstick from the tube). The clear cases are the best, as I can tell what color lipstick is inside and the lipstick stays nice and clean.

Hi Jenny! Just a thought from my eye doctor. He said you need to change your contact case every month to prevent infections, etc. So depending on how long you are using your cases you might not actually have as many extra as yout think!

Hi Linda, Yes, they are water tight, just make sure to thread them correctly. I usually get them free with multi-purpose solution.

Great idea! Better to have something smaller for smaller purse. I will try filling with liquid makeup, since I don't wear lipstick, but rather lip liner and chapstick instead.(MUCH cheaper, more natural looking!) Are they water-tight containers? I might find one curbside. God bless you.
