My husband was bragging one day about remembering birthdates of all the family. I said "If you're so smart, when is our anniversary?" He hesitated and looked unsure. Then turned to me and said "I know, once a year!"
My birthday is in August and so is the birthday of the first Mrs. Hers is before mine (YEARS before!) so when my husband is fumbling to try to keep the dates straight (he had hers for 27 years) I tell him that she may have been first (YEARS first!) but I am now and forever the LAST! He doesn't forget anymore after 24 years of being told.
Hey, Glenn's Mom, ain't that the truth? My husband & I are married 27 years on July 24th - his anniversary with his ex was July 28th! (I didn't know that when we planned the wedding date, he never mentioned it!) Anyway, so far, so good, he's never mixed the dates up yet.
