All of us Grandma's need help when making cakes and cookies. Who else would lick the bowls and let us know when what we're baking is "Just Right"?
As Mary Beth pointed out, they grow up so fast, and the trick is to get in as many baking days together as possible before they have too much homework, girlfriends or boyfriends, etc.
These days will mean a lot to you years from now, but what they'll mean to the little "Grandies" is worth its weight in pure gold. They will not forget.
It's always a good thing to take pictures too. Lots of them. They will become your most precious treasures.

I also have a grandson named Dakota who is 7 yrs old.....and he is the apple of my eye too, along with the all nine of the other grandchildren! Love the pic of your little Dakota! Enjoy him while he's still little....they grow up sooo fast!
