Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 medium sized sour apples
  • small handful of raisins

Directions

Peel and cut the apples in very thin pieces. Mix all ingredients well and add a small handful of raisins. Drop by tablespoons into deep fat fryer, like you would donuts. You get about 20-24 fritters.

Hi Robin; I`ve used several of your recipes and they all turned out well. This one for apple-raisin fritters sounds so yummy and I`m going to tweak it a bit. I have high cholesterol and take medication for it. Deep frying is a definite no-no but I`ll work on it. Thanks for all your great recipes. You should either write a cook-book orhave your own good cooking website. Cheers!
