I have white turtleneck shirts in their plastic packaging and they are starting to turn yellow. What can I do to stop this?

take them out of the plastic packages. sometimes as plastic breaks down or has been stored in bright light it can break down or discolor the items it touches.
i'm not sure if you will be able to get the yellow out, depends on what the fabric is made of. the more synthetics it contains the more likely the plastic reacted with it.
if you like the idea of keeping them covered use pillow slips or some other cloth covers.
