Use Prescription Bottles for Custom Paints |
When I create a "custom" color with acrylic paint, I'll pour the "leftovers" into an empty, clean prescription bottle. Affix a white sticker on the cap and put a dollop of paint on it so you know what color is in the bottle.

RE: Use Prescription Bottles for Custom Paints
BOY! ... I SURE do miss those yogurt lids! ... I used empty yogurt containers for everything! ...Not just because the small yogurt containers were so handy as storage containers for paint & arts & crafts, but the lids were handy too... I used to mix my underglaze colors on them, or use the circles as templates, I even used yogurt lids for coasters for under can's of pop! ... I used old yogurt containers to save a bit of house paint (for touch-ups)... No More! ... Besides medicine bottles, do they even have film containers anymore? Who knows!?... I'm so angry the yogurt maker decided to quit putting lids on top of their yogurt containers... PLUS, I feel like someone could tamper with my food easier too! ... I'm old enough to remember the "food-tampering" scares of the late 70's & early 80's & wouldn't want that to happen again! ... Just wait, prretty soon, they'll quit using medicine bottles with lids too, pretty soon, your meds will come in plastic wrap, or foil packets... No kidding! ... Hey, I'm a person that recycles & reuses... but sometimes, things get ridiculous! (Like taking the lids off of all brands of yogurt!)
