When your young child gets that next set of booster shots, be prepared with a bottle of Camphophenique. Pour some on a cotton ball and place over the inoculation site held in place with a bandaid for several hours. This will help reduce the pain that seems to linger for hours or days afterward.
I learned this from our local health department many years ago and used it just recently when my 9 year old got her booster shots.
