A lady I know started a tradition for her little granddaughter. Whenever it was gift giving times, (ex. birthday, Christmas, etc.) she'd purchase an item from an expensive bear collection and had several already, when I was shown this. She said by the time the granddaughter got to be college age. The granddaughter would have the option to "cash in" and sell her collection to help pay for college tuition, etc. or to keep it. I thought this was a wonderful idea that others might appreciate being inspired by it. Rather than purchasing a gift that might appear in Mom's next yard sale.
