Is this person dead or alive? I do genealogy research, hence the question to answer a question... ;-)

I found a lost friend by using peoplesearch.com. It charged me a one time fee of $7.95 and gave me a list of known addresses for her (among other things). I knew some of the addresses on the list, so I knew where she wasn't. I wrote her a letter and sent copies to the most recent 4 or 5 addresses and she got one of the letters. It was well worth the $7.95. That was over 3 years ago, so I don't know what the fee is now.
