Before you replace those blades on your electric shaver, you can easily resharpen them for a temporary new life. Make a light mixture of Mineral Oil with Toothpaste (not the gel type) and apply to the shaver's screen/blade surface. Keep the shaver plugged in to the AC source to access full power. Turn the shaver on and let the mixture re-sharpen the blades. Reapply several times.

Toothpaste has a very fine grit for cleaning the teeth; we used this method for fine tuning our open-faced fishing reels. Once you are satisfied with the process, remove the screen and blades, wash in warm, soapy water and reassemble.

I would recommend avoiding 'extra whitening' formulae, they are just larger particle size grit.
