Cherry Fruit Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 can pineapple tidbits
  • 1 large can mandarin oranges
  • 2-3 bananas , sliced

Directions

Put cherry pie filling in large bowl, scrape can to get all the 'sauce'. Drain the oranges and add them to bowl. Drain the tidbits, saving the juice, and add tidbits to bowl. Slice the bananas into the bowl. Stir, if not enough liquid to coat bananas, add pineapple juice a little at a time until there is enough liquid to coat the bananas. If the bananas are not coated, they will change color. Chill, then serve. Can top with whipped topping if you want.

I make this for all family get-togethers, pot lucks, etc. Had a request for recipe once from the director of social service agency I volunteered for, it was served at a meeting/dinner we were having.
