The directions included with your fan are truly clear. I've installed several fans over the years. Just be sure the site where you are installing is strong enough for the weight. There are pieces that can be bought to reinforce for the weight. Any big box store will have the reinforcment. One thought. Mark which electric connection you want to use. The simpliest is the pull chain for the fan and for the light. good luck
