Can sweetened condensed milk be used in sweet potato pie instead of evaporated milk?

They are not the same, but I use it all the time. Simply cut out the sugar as well. Make sure you taste test, but I love the convenience.

Yes you can also it replaces the sugar in the recipe. I use this for pumpkin pie and really makes the pie not as sweet and taste more of the spices and pumpkin.

my little sister's recipe

Libby pumpkin pie mix
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 beaten eggs.
mix together and pour into unbaked pie shell
bake @ 400 15 mins.
350 45 mins.
makes a big pie and so yummy

What is condensed milk?

I would like to know if i can use condensed milk to make the pumpkin pie also adding all the spices like the cinnamon ground cloves ground ginger nutmeg etc
