Make Them Buckle Up

When people get in your auto, make sure they buckle up. If they don't do it automatically, remind them by saying to them, "My car won't start until everyone is buckled up. I love you and want you to do this for your safety."

It could save their lives if in an auto accident, (heaven forbid) and on your insurance if you are at fault. (Again Heaven forbid.)

Second rule, don't get in that accident. Slow down, be very alert, and stop to smell the coffee. <G>.

Of course, the safety of the occupants is foremost, but here in Saskatchewan we have had the seatbelt law since the early 1980's. It's automatic now to buckle up when you first get in the car. Besides, the fine is over $100 for you and anyone else in the car that isn't buckled up! The driver is charged and is responsible for making sure everyone is buckled up.
