A treat to dip strawberries or banana chunks once in a while.
Ingredients:
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
2 Tbsp. butter
1 can Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
2 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
In heavy saucepan over medium heat, melt chips, butter, sweetened condensed milk, and water. Cook and stir constantly until thick. Add vanilla. Serve warm over ice cream or as a fruit dipping sauce.
Great for dipping strawberries. Refrigerate leftovers.

Yum, Yum GGVi! I am on a mission this afternoon to get the ingredients I don't already have and also some vanilla ice cream, chopped almonds and maraschino cherries, too (already have the whip cream) ;-)

Microwave 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips on HIGH, stirring occasionally, until melted, about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Stir in 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk, 1/4 cup light corn syrup, 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract and a pinch of salt until smooth. Serve warm or at room temperature.

RE: Hot Fudge Sauce
Thank You! Thank You! I've been looking for a good recipe for this as we always seem to discover that the jar is empty when we really want some to put on our ice cream. Then I'm rummaging around trying to concoct something similar and edible! This sounds so good and I have all the ingredients in my pantry right now! Can't wait to try it! (08/21/2007)
