You and children of any age can make these simple flowers with just a coffee filter, construction paper, cotton balls, a small ring from a toilet paper roll and some glue.

Coffee Filter Flowers

Items Needed:

  • A Coffee Filter
  • Construction Paper Petals
  • Cotton Balls
  • A 1/2 Inch Ring Cut From A Toilet Paper Roll
  • A Glue Stick.

Coffee Filter Flowers

Instructions:

Step 1: Flatten coffee filter.

Step 2: Glue as many petals around the coffee filter as needed.

Step 3: Put a large circle of glue in the center of the filter still showing.

Step 4: Stick toilet paper ring filled with cotton balls on the circle of glue.

Children can use as few or as many flower petals as they like. You can make the petals all one color or a rainbow of hues. Put them on your wall or bulletin board for a whole garden!

A very simple craft for even the youngest child.

I made also double petal-flowers out of coffee filters.Trace some petals and leaves on the coffee filter ,attach the petals one by one into a bamboo sticks or wire and leaves with a flower tape.Color the petals with your fav color (water color) and green on the leaves.Let them dry and roll the petals outward with the use of pencil or stick and the result are beautifull paper roses.

A cute "twist" on this flower craft is to omit the cardboard ring & cotton ball in the center. Put the child's photo, cut into a circle, in the center of that pretty flower for a great Mother's Day, or any day, gift. Put magnetic strips on the back to hang it on the refrigerator. A real cute keepsake that the child will be proud of!
