Use Fabric Paint to Create Non-slip Surfaces

Use a few dabs of fabric paint (the puff paint 3D type) for non-slip items. Let dry before use. Draw designs on the bottoms of knitted slippers so it's not slippery.

Make coasters with recycled CDs, felt, and dabs of paint on bottom. Won't move around on you! Add a few stripes to the soles of slippery tennis shoes or flip flops. Or add it to the bottom of slipping cutting boards.

Use your imagination, the possibilities are endless.

Great idea. I will be using this for my mom, she slips a lot. It could be put on almost anything, like the back of the remote for instance, to keep it from sliding off the bed.

God Bless

Can you wash it without it coming off? With all my indoor animals, I wash my house slippers at least once a week.
Thanks!

Love that idea. Can't wait to try it.

Great idea - I do something similar, with hubby's help. We keep tactile markers (like fabric paint, but for hard surfaces) on hand. Last winter when hubby noticed me skidding around in my socks, he painted the bottoms with tactile marker. No more skidding!

Thanks for this great idea! I love the idea of using old CDs for coasters.

Thanks for that. I didn't know what kind of paint to try. I took a stab at it last winter on those knitted gloves so they wouldn't slip on the steering wheel but I didn't have the right stuff.
