How do I remove powdered laundry soap stains from my bed comforter? They are blotches about the size of a tennis ball. Thanks so much for your help.

And be sure that you are using the washer full of water. These stains are caused by undissolved detergent, maybe from not having enough water in the machine or from having a comforter that is too big for the machine you are washing it in. If you think that might be the case, you might have to take it to a laundromat.
