Army Homecoming Ball |

I am in need of ideas or suggestions for an Army Homecoming Ball. My husbands Army Reserve unit will be returning from a year long deployment. We will be having a homecoming ball in late February. There really is no theme, except maybe patriotic. We have a shoestring budget and would appreciate all ideas or suggestions. Thank you. - Crys

Make it a holiday ball and celebrate all the holidays that they have missed. In one corner - place a christmas tree, in another corner - place some Easter baskets, in another corner - place flags and such for July 4th, and in the last corner you can place hearts for your sweethearts. (Don't forget to place mistletoe all around the room.) I hope everyone comes home safely and you have a wonderful party.

Aren't your Sweethearts returning home? Since you want to show them that you missed them and love them, what about a "late" Sweetheart Ball? Use Valentine's Day decorations---they will be on sale at sometimes 50% reduction, after the holiday. It doesn't have to be formal. Maybe someone has a digital camera for pictures to printout after the Ball. I suggest a non-alcoholic punch bowl so that there aren't any accidents on the way home from the ball. Have a great time!
