Cardboard Do-Dad Drawers

By Teri Clark
No place to store all that costume jewelry used in dress ups? Need a space to put that sticker collection? How about a someplace to store crayons and other art supplies? This cute set of drawers will fit the bill no matter what you want to store!

Materials:

  • Smooth, light cardboard
  • 2 boxes that are the same size (these can be any size - the larger they are, the larger your set of drawers will be)
  • Paint
  • Marker

Tools:

  • Scissors
  • Glue gun
  • Paintbrush
  • Ruler

Steps:

1. Glue the two boxes of the same size together, side by side. This will be the frame for your drawers.

2. Draw 4 open boxes on a piece of cardboard. They should be half as large as a frame box. These will be your drawers.

3. Cut out the four boxes. Fold them and glue them together with the glue gun.

4. Paint the frame one color and the four drawers in coordinating colors. Slide the boxes into the frame and now you have your very own set of drawers. Have fun filling them with all your treasures!

Additional Ideas: Create 2 of the smaller boxes and one large box to give yourself 3 drawers. Or create two of the larger boxes to give yourself 2 drawers.
