Mix and sift flour, salt and baking powder. Cream butter and peanut butter. Add brown sugar slowly while continuing to cream. Add eggs, one at a time, coating after each addition. Combine one Tbsp. instant coffee, milk and vanilla and add alternately with dry ingredients. Stir in peanuts. Spread batter evenly in 2 well-greased 9 inch square pans. Sprinkle with peanut butter or chocolate pieces. Combine one tsp. powdered coffee and sugar and sprinkle over all. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees F. Cool.

Peanut Butter Bars II
Ingredients
1 cup margarine
1 cup peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 cup graham crackers (finely rolled)
Chocolate (melted) (can use melted candy bars or chocolate chips)
Directions
Cream the first 3 ingredients. Add the graham crackers and the powdered sugar. Put in an 8x8 inch pan. Coat with melted chocolate.

Peanut Butter Bars III
Ingredients
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
peanut butter
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 cup quick oats
2 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp. milk
Directions
Cream first 4 ingredients and 1/2 cup peanut butter together in bowl. Sift next 3 ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats. Pat firmly into greased 10x15 inch baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees F for 12-15 minutes until brown. Cool completely. Combine remaining ingredients with 2 tablespoons peanut butter and a dash of salt, blending well. Frost and cut into bars.
