I built and installed a cheap cube style shoe shelf unit (3 ft. X 2 1/2 ft.) I placed it into my (SMALL) front closet on the floor and designated everyone in the house a grid/row for their own shoes. Keeps the floors clear of clutter and a you can quickly grab your shoes in those those hectic mornings.
