My friend, Karen, who lost a 15-year battle with breast cancer, decided to just go ahead and shave her head when starting chemo, knowing from the last bout that she would lose it anyway. However, she let her nieces and nephews (8 of them) ages 4 to 12 years. She was a brave woman in many ways!
God Bless Karen and all her loved ones.
I am sorry to hear that you lost your friend. Good friends are hard to find so your lucky to have gotten to have such an awesome person in your life. may you see her again in the afterlife.
She is still a beautiful lady, even bald!
Your friend sounds like a wonderful person! I'm so sorry for your loss.
This photo raised so many emotions in me. All were visceral. A picture truly is worth a 1000 words. God bless all who loved her.
Karen may have lost the battle with breast cancer,
but she definitely WON the battle of being a
wonderful human being...and after all, that is the
most important battle of all, and the only one that
really counts. May God bless her and all who knew
and loved her.
Hugs to you all,
Julia in Boca Raton, FL
