I would like to know what is the difference between a clarifying shampoo and chelating shampoo.

This site tells it all and you can take a couple of raw eggs well beaten and use as a shampoo to cleanse hair from buildup and it also makes suds and rinses out well; just make sure they are well beaten.

They both remove excess buildup/residue from the hair but chelating ionizes to remove more metal (such as iron and other metal chemicals in the water) that builds up.
