Semi-Formal or Casual 17th Birthday? |
|
|
I am turning 17 this month and I haven't had a party the last two years so I want to have a semi-big party, but I want it to be original. I'm not sure if it should be semi-formal or just casual. Please help me.

RE: Semi-Formal or Casual 17th Birthday?
I think if most of your friends are dating someone, then formal would be great. My oldest son is turning 16 next month and yes, even the guys this age enjoy formal events, if they have a girlfriend. If your friends are not in relationships, they might be more comfortable doing a casual event where they don't feel such a need to be with a "date". Even if you don't go formal, you can have a themed party of some sort.

You could do a bday prom. And have a formal. Most of the people could wear what they would/did wear for prom. But otherwise you can have people wear resale shop prom dresses. That way it isn't too expensive and they may find something they might actually WANT to wear for prom. ;p
Hope this helps.
