Bottle Cap Mini Flower Basket

Bottle Cap Mini Flower Basket - top down view of the mini flower basket with a tiny bow on the handle
This is one very good idea/suggestion for those who are looking for a low cost party souvenir. For illustration purposes I created a sample using scraps, including in the making of the flowers.

Steps:

  1. Cover the bottle cap very neatly with a special scented paper. Or you can also use fabric to cover it.
  2. Bottle Cap Mini Flower Basket - cover the cap with the scented paper or fabric

  3. Pour some white or hot glue inside the basket and fill with green paper trimmings. See photo.
  4. Bottle Cap Mini Flower Basket - pour some glue into the cap and add paper trimmings
  5. Cut a small strip out of the scented paper. Fold it thinly.
  6. Bottle Cap Mini Flower Basket - cut a small strip of the scented paper and fold to make a handle
  7. Bend the strip to form the handle. Glue into place and wrap with a ribbon.
  8. Bottle Cap Mini Flower Basket - glue in place and wrap with narrow ribbon and glue in place
  9. The cap now looks exactly like a basket. Wrap its body with another ribbon.
  10. Bottle Cap Mini Flower Basket - wrap the basket with another piece of wider ribbon and glue in place
  11. Pour hot glue over paper trimmings then put the flowers inside and fix them in your desired arrangement. The flowers I used in this project are all handmade by me due to lack of materials. I created them out of colored paper clippings.
  12. Bottle Cap Mini Flower Basket - add glue or hot glue to the basket and add tiny flowers (these are handmade) fill the basket with the flowers
  13. Add some more details and beautify as much as you want.
  14. Bottle Cap Mini Flower Basket - you can add beads or other decorations to the flowers
  15. You now have a pretty tiny basket of flowers.
  16. Bottle Cap Mini Flower Basket - finished basket
