Choosing a Color for Hardwood Flooring?

I am looking to install hardwood flooring in place of carpet in my family room, living room, hallways, and kitchen. I have medium to dark oak furniture and cabinets in the kitchen. I have cream countertops. I have light green walls. What color flooring should I use?
