Before you begin grating cheese, brush a little vegetable oil on the grater. It will clean easier when you are finished.

Actually this is an after cooking tip. When washing the cheese grater use a bottle brush such as for baby bottles (they are sold at dollar stores.) Just add soap to the brush rub a little with your hand to create a lather scrub your grater inside and out rinse as usual.

I spray my Grater with Pam cooking spray inside and out. It's washes up much easier and has to after taste, or oil left on my Cheese..

Cheese Grater Tip

I find cleaning the grater a doddle using hot water and a washing up brush! Never any problems. The cheese just melts away. (06/02/2006)

Cheese Grater Tip

I like to freeze the cheese for 10-15 minutes rather than using extra oil. Makes grating it and cleaning up easier. Hope that helps!
