This is a 2 part question. Does anyone have ideas for the best way to display pressed or elongated pennies and the best way to display tie tacks and lapel pins? Thanks for all the help and ideas for the past few years.

A jewelry holder with clear pockets would be a great way to display.

You could mount any of these multiple small items in a shadow box style picture frame. Just make a base of maybe felt and put in the box frame and hang.
Foam always works well just cover with nice thin material and push the pins or pennies into it.
if the pressed pennies have holes drilled into them, why not make a nice mobile? That way you can at any moment see each side. Here's a cool instruction on how to make a mobile: www.wikihow.com/
as far as the tacks and pins, I would just maybe get a quilt or nice tapestry, hang it on the wall, and attach them to that.
My sister uses the tie tacks on her message cork board. That way they are displayed and functional.
