These cute push pins are a fun way to hang up important notes on your bulletin board.

  • thumb tacks
  • buttons
  • E6000 glue
  • wire cutters, optional

  1. If you choose buttons with a plastic shank on the back you will need to cut it off with a pair of wire cutters.

  3. Apply a small amount of glue to the thumb tack and/or the button back. NOTE: Follow the package instruction for the type of glue you use. For the E6000 glue (on smooth surfaces) it says to put glue on both surfaces that you are going to adhere and wait 2 minutes before pressing them together.
  4. Press the button onto the thumb tack and hold firmly until they are well attached. Then set them aside to dry completely before using them.

  6. Buttons without a shank don't require any preparation. Just apply the glue as directed, adhere the button to the thumb tack, and allow to dry.

Here is a cute way to snazz up your bulletin board. I hot glued cute buttons to thumbtacks and use these to hold up notes, etc.

To make "yo yo's", I cut out a 4 inch circle of fabric and did a running stitch just inside the edge on the wrong side of the circle (knot the end first).

Pull the thread to make a yo yo and add a stitch or two to hold in place. Put the button tack through the center and voila! You are done.
