Heart Tree Mother's Day Card

Mother's Day is around the corner. In school my son is making a Mother's Day project, but he came home wanting to make a card for me. Since I love planting and trees, he suggested a tree card with sparkles. We had heart stickers at home, so I thought that would be a cute touch as the leaves. You can't go wrong with a homemade Mother's Day card; as a sentimental touch it's his hand. :)

Here is a card idea if you want to make one with your child, for grandma, great grandma, aunt, sister, etc.

Total Time: 20 minutes

  1. Trace hand and part way up the arm and cut out to resemble tree.
  2. He used a lot of glue (not necessary), but glue down decorations - we used these shiny sequins.
  3. Fold a sheet of construction paper in half to make card. Glue down hand in the center.
  4. Add heart shaped foam stickers (or cut out leaves/heart shapes if you don't have the sticker version).
  5. Ready to decorate/write message inside of card.
