Try this cute and easy way for toddlers to decorate and make their own necklaces! All the supplies you'll need are probably already in your home - water bottle caps, some decorating supplies, string, hot glue, and a piercer (or you could use a drill/nail, something to make a hole in the cap).

Total Time: 20 minutes

Supplies:

  • water bottle caps
  • hot glue
  • stickers
  • gems
  • twine
  • paper piercing tool

Steps:

  1. Have your child decorate their bottle caps (which will be the face of their necklace).
  2. With adult supervision or as in my case, I did this step which was to put on the little gem sparkles with hot glue.
  3. With adult supervision, using a piercing tool - make a hole on the top of the bottle cap. Then you will be able to thread your choice of string and secure knot.
