How to Make a Folded Paper Photo Frame

  • 1 piece 15x15 cm specialty art paper
  • 1 2x2 inch picture
  • Note
  • estimate the size of paper based on the size of your picture
Folded Paper Photo Frame - paper and photo


  1. Position the paper like a diamond and fold vertically in half.
  2. Folded Paper Photo Frame - fold paper on the diagonal
  3. Open it and fold again in half, but this time horizontally. When you open it again, the folds will form a cross.
  4. Folded Paper Photo Frame - open and fold horizontally
  5. Put it back into the original diamond position.
  6. Fold one tip to the center fold. (see image)

  8. Fold all four corners to the center fold.

  10. Flip the paper and fold the four corners forward. (see image)

  12. Flip it back again to the front. You will see four diamonds are formed.
  13. Push with a thumb or insert the tips of each diamond inside. (see image)
  14. Folded Paper Photo Frame - flip over and push the tip inside
  15. It will form a square frame.
  16. Folded Paper Photo Frame - repeat in all four corners, forming a square frame

  17. Insert picture and its ready for display.
