I have seen the answers to ivermectin in cats for mites and I am going to try it on my goldendoodle I have in the house. I have a bottle of 1% ivermectin and I want to mix it right for heartworm prevention for my dogs. I don't want to overdose with this because I know this is powerful stuff, so how would I mix the ivermectin and what do I mix with for consumption (propylene glycol)? I have several German shepherds and they are all about 60-80 lbs. each, they hate taking the safeguard and I thought if I can get them on this every month maybe that would take care of the intestinal worms also.

Also, I know the meds need to be kept in a dark place or bottle, but does it also need to be kept refrigerated?
