Locating the Source of a Bad Smell in the House?

I have a smell that showed up in our master bedroom over night. If we open windows it disappears, but once they are closed the smell reappears quickly. It is in one spot in the room and there is nothing there. We have cleaned out almost the whole room and vacuumed really well. It smells like chemicals. PGE, a heating and air guy, a mold guy, and a contractor have all come out to find it. No one can find anything. Any one have any ideas?

Have you checked your AC ducts as this can sometimes make it appear the odor is in another location.
Check for anything near your AC air intake area.

I'm wondering if you have a roof leak that is leaking into a wall.
