Lump on your rabbit:

• I have raised rabbits for years and what I am seeing is more of a skin irritation caused by her cage or rubbing up against something.
• You can see it has a scab on it and the hair around the wound is gone.
• You will need to keep this clean.
• Clean this with a clean cotton ball and warm water.
• Apply Neomycin ointment or Blu-kote ointment to the area.
• Keep an eye on this and make sure it doesn't grow larger.
• A lot of times the babies get these on their skin and don't show up for a few days to a week afterwards. This is from a nip or bite from the mother.
• I have seen these on my rabbits in the past and all I have done is clean them and applied the ointment to them.

• If you are overly worried about this then you can find a vet who specialized in rabbits. Before going ask if they treat rabbits. Some vets only treat dogs and cats and don't know that much about rabbits at all.
• From what I see from your photo this is healing now and there is a scab on it. Just keep it clean and let the scab fall off naturally.

Lump on bunny.

Step 1
Abscesses, are very common in bunny rabbits.

Step 2
Abscesses are a collection of pus contained within the lump under the skin.

Step 3
If they have a discharge from the nose,or eyes and are not eating then contact your vet.

Step 4
The vet may take a tissue sample and check for bacterial infections.
