Nail Polish on Carpet

How do I remove red nail polish from my beige carpet?

Use acetone. It is available in a lot places including Wal-mart where they sell nail polish remover. My cat knocked a mirrored tray off my dresser once and it broke a bottle of nail polish when it landed. Nail polish remover helped, but the acetone did the trick. Of course, if you have a nice hardwood floor underneath, it may ruin the finish. My floors are just wood so I didn't care. That was 4 years ago and it never hurt the carpet. (07/21/2010)
