Recipes Using Turnips

My sister-in-law cuts them up like French fries, tosses them in olive oil and drains them off, and cooks them in a very hot oven until they are crispy on the outside and moist inside. She says they love them. (01/16/2007)

My favorite way to cook turnips is to peel & slice the turnips. Also peel & slice an onion or two.
Cook in water with salt & pepper and a little sugar. When the turnips are done, drain and stir in some butter. Yummy! (01/16/2007)

I love to peel and slice thin. Then I fry them with some cut up sausage links or other precooked smoked sausage. They are delicious! Maybe add a little salt and pepper. (01/17/2007)

Recipes Using Turnips

I like to dice my turnips and then cook them down in butter, Worchester sauce, red wine and green onion. Season to taste, I normally use salt, pepper, garlic powder, a little sugar and Tony's Seasoning. Saute them until they are brown and tender. My husband loves them. (01/08/2008)
