Spaghetti Sauce

My husband's favorite!

  • 1 lb. ground chuck, browned, drained and washed
  • 1 medium onion, diced and sauteed in light oil
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1-2 Tbsp. Herbs de Provence (mixture of dried herbs)
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • black and red pepper, to taste
  • 1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 cans water

Saute onions until softened and add washed ground beef, spices, tomatoes, paste and water. Simmer on low 45 minutes to 1 hour. Add water if needed to prevent sticking, or instead of water, add a little spicy hot V-8 juice. Serve over cooked spaghetti or bread sticks.
