Tiny Black Specks in Kitchen and Elsewhere?

I keep finding these black specks, they look like dirt. They are all over the counter, the stove, my daughter's toys and on us sometimes. I vacuum and clean everyday, but they are back again the next day. Someone please help. They are driving me crazy.

I have seen this in the past when I was living in Mexico and the house we were living in for word was infested with cockroaches. Every time I looked around we had black specks all over the house. It was so hard to get them out of the home but we finally managed to get them out of there and after they were gone I never saw this again.

I'm sorry to say but it sure sounds like cockroaches and they can be anywhere but are usually more active at night.
Have you seen any bugs scatter when you turn on lights at night?

You can take a picture of the black specks (close up) and send it to your county extension agency and they will help you identify your bug and offer help on how to get rid of the pests.

If this is cockroaches you will need to try and find out what they are feeding on and how they are getting into your house.
Most people use Borax Acid to kill these bugs but there are other methods for DIY.
You can read some suggestions on these site but be aware that graphic bug pictures will appear so I would not recommend opening any 'bug' sites with children around.
Also, since you have children and maybe pets be sure to read the danger of using some methods.
I use food grade DE in my sheds and never have a problem - safe for pets/children.

This could be anything without seeing pictures. It could be insect, allergens , larvae, or mold. Pictures speak to it all!
