Need a quick breakfast or afternoon snack for the tikes? Spread some peanut butter on a flour tortilla, roll it up, microwave it for about 12-15 seconds, serve with milk. They get protein, grains and calcium in less than a minute!

These are a great appetizer or for a snack for the kids!

Total Time: 20 minutes

Yield: 30-40 appetizers


  • 8 oz cream cheese ($1.19)
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese ($1.50)
  • 5-6 ripe olives
  • 3-4 green onions ($.35)
  • 3 Tbsp salsa
  • 4 large flour tortillas ($.50)


  1. Mix all ingredients and spread evenly over tortillas.
  2. Roll up and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill 10 hours.
  3. Slice 8-10 slices per roll.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups red peppers, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • Ad

  • 1/4 cup italian dressing
  • 1/2 cup salsa


Brown ground beef, drain. Add peppers and chili powder. Cook 5 minutes. Stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.

Add sour cream and 1/4 cup cheese. Spoon about 1/3 cup meat mixture onto each tortilla. Roll and arrange in 9x13 inch pan. Drizzle with dressing. Top with remaining cheese and salsa. Broil about 3-5 minutes. Placing pan about 4-6 inches from broiler.

  • 1 1/2 lb. browned hamburger
  • 1 1/2 cup onions
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 4 oz. chives, opt.
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 9 - 10 flour tortillas


Fry hamburger with onions, then add rest of ingredients in order given. Spread a thin layer of meat mixture on tortillas and roll up. Refrigerate for 1 hour before cutting into slices. Serve with taco sauce or salsa. These work great at picnics and as finger foods.
