If someone gives you a puppy, check him out first. Generally puppies are healthy, but recently a puppy was given to my grandson. It was a cute pup, but not very active and slept all through the first night. Something didn't seem right.
This poor puppy and the whole litter were sick. Someone unknowingly gave away a box of several puppies. My daughter checked in his mouth and his gums were white. The puppy died before he got to the vet. Very sad, but definitely something to be aware of.

I am really sorry this poor puppy died but people do "not" unknowingly give away a box full of puppies. Just another typical example of unscrupulous back-yard breeders. The poor little creature was riddled with worms because both parents had never been de-wormed.
What a sad story. I agree the person who gave a way the dogs must have known something. Please consider a shelter when you look for a new puppy. The animals are all health checked. You get a healthy puppy with a great future and a puppy gets a forever home. Best of luck to your daughter.
