Clock By The Phone

Do you have an extra clock in your home? Place it near the phone. Just watching the minutes tick away will remind you to keep those long distance conversations short! An extra kitchen timer will do the same trick, and you can even set it to go off in five minutes.

I have unlimited long distance now, but before I got that, instead of a clock, I kept a timer next to the phone. I kept it set at 3 minutes. When it went off I would end the call (abruptly in some cases if necessary).
But getting the unlimited has saved us a ton of money. Not to mention a ton of headaches from trying to end a call. Now my bill is the same whether I talk for 3 mintues or an hour. I love it.
