Place Alarm Clock Across Room

I have my alarm clock set all the way on the other side of the room. I have to get up and turn it off. I helped a friend out by staying the night with her mother (fall issue). They forgot to turn off their alarm before they left on their trip. The next morning, I had to go across the hall to their room to turn their alarm off. I found it across the room from their bed. It sure does make it more difficult to hit the snooze button when you have to walk back and forth from your bed!
