16th Birthday Party Ideas?

My 16th birthday party is coming up and I need a few ideas on what to do. There's only going to be a few people and it's mainly girls, but a couple of guys are coming as well. I was thinking an expensive dinner at a fancy restaurant, renting out a house that you can decorate it however you want, bring food, play games, dance, play, music etc.

However, my dad is building up my backyard to have a fire pit and I don't want to hurt his feelings and not use it when he made it his goal to finish it before my birthday so that we could hang out back there. Anyone have any ideas of what I should do?
