I bought these 2 pots of plants at a small store, unlabelled. I was told not to water the leaves. I hope to know the names so that I can take better care of them. The first one is not doing well. It used to have leaves growing to the brim, and soil was not visible.

The shorter rounded plant is the one that is not doing well.
The shorter one is Golden Club Moss (Lycopodium clavatum): Club mosses prefers cooler temperatures, low to moderate light, good air circulation and moist, rich soil.
The taller one appears to be a baby Norfolk Island Pine: They are not cold hardy and thrive in high humidity. They are temperamental about water and light.
